Overview
The following are methods to install or update the BlackBerry World app on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry OS version 7.1 and earlier or BlackBerry 10 OS.
BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry OS 7.1 and earlier
Install / update BlackBerry World app for BBOS using device web browser
- Browse to one of the following:
- Select Download Now button
- Select desired Language
- Tap Next
- When the app details are displayed, Select Download
- Select Replace if prompted to replace the existing version of BlackBerry world
- When prompted to reboot, (if convenient) select Reboot, otherwise select Later.
Update BlackBerry World app from within the BlackBerry World App
- Open BlackBerry World
- Tap My World
- If a new update is available for BlackBerry World, select it
- Tap Upgrade and then tap Continue
- After the install, you will be prompted to 'Restart Now' to apply the changes, tap Restart Now
Install/Update BlackBerry World app using ‘BlackBerry Desktop Software’
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Software
- Select Applications
- Find BlackBerry App World
- On the right side, there is a plus sign (+), click it
- On the bottom of the application, click Apply, this will update or install BlackBerry World to the device
